The LGMA (SA) Leadership Excellence Awards Program is integral to the pursuit of excellence and improvement in Local Government, recognising outstanding achievement and innovation.

The Association is pleased to present a program that recognizes excellence, and contributes to the advancement and improvement of Local Government as a sector.

The awards will be presented at the most prestigious event in South Australian Local Government, the 2013 Gala Awards Dinner to be held on 19 April 2012 at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

Last year the event sold out with nearly 400 attendees to this black tie affair.  The South Australian winning team of the LGMA 2013 Management Challenge will also be announced at the dinner and will receive the following Award:

• State Champions LGMA Management Challenge (SA) 2013 thanks to Government of South Australia – Office for State/Local Government Relations.

The overall aim of the LGMA (SA) Leadership Excellence Awards is to:

• Raise the standard and quality of Local Government leadership and management across Local Government in SA
• Create public awareness of the level of expertise and excellence in Local Government
• Recognise excellence demonstrated by LGMA (SA) members and individuals employed by local government thereby rewarding their efforts.

Applications can be submitted at any time between now and 5 pm, 25 January 2013.

This year, we will once again be using an online nomination form to lessen the burden on council staff.
